Unexplained weight gain or loss, persistent fatigue, thirst and frequent urination, swelling in the neck, palpitations, excess hair growth or menstrual irregularities may be reasons to see an endocrinologist.
We recommend bringing the results of tests and examinations from the last 6–12 months, a list of the medications you take and any previous doctors' reports.
Some tests (for example, glucose and the lipid profile) are taken fasting, while others are taken at a specific time of day. How each test should be taken will be explained to you during the visit.
No. Most nodules are benign. However, to determine the nature of a nodule, an accurate diagnosis should be made with ultrasound and, if necessary, a biopsy.
It depends on the type and stage of diabetes. In some cases lifestyle changes are enough, while in others medication or insulin therapy is needed. The decision is made individually based on test results.
